Main Directions of Scientific Investigations

RL TTMP specializes in performing research work with the aim of creating equipment and technological processes in metallurgy, mechanical engineering and other related areas in the following scientific directions: improving the technology of steel making in the heavy-duty electric-arc furnaces and the furnaces of small and medium-capacity of the machine-building production as well as structural components of the melting equipment for the purpose of securing the economic effectiveness and resource-and-energy saving; developing the theory and improving devices and technology of the steel continuous-cast providing for output quality and equipment productivity increase; development of modern energy-saving technologies and equipment in the furnace-building area for metallurgy and mechanical-engineering production.

Major Achievements

RL TTMP keeps scientific ties with the Iron and Steel Institute n. a. Nekrasov Z. I. of NAS Ukraine, the National Metallurgy Academy of Ukraine, the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, the foreign enterprise "Keratekh" (Czechia), JSC "MAZ", etc.

A technique was developed for economically viable choice of the fettling construction of the high temperature technological aggregates whose application provides for significant increase in the equipment energy efficiency with minimization of the capital expenditures and operational costs.

Product developments at RL TTMP are implemented at JSC "MAZ", JSC "BELAZ", UE "RMZ JSC Mogilevkhimvolokno", JSC "Minsk Ball Bearing Plant", JSC "TDiA", JSC "Motovelo", LLC "Mashtechservice", etc.

RL TTMP disposes a modern technical basis.
