Main Directions of Scientific Investigations

Physical bases and applications of active interferometry. The theory of the potential accuracy of the laser measuring devices and experimental research in the physics of limit measurements. Development of integrated laser inertial navigation systems. Theory of safety systems and the development of sensors for security and fire alarm systems.

Development of methodical base for certification tests of special protection means and lighting equipment of vehicles. The development of lighting equipment of vehicles based on LED light sources.

RL OEIE has the accredited body on certification of special protection means, testing center of special protection means and testing center of lighting equipment of vehicles.


Major Achievements

RL OEIE maintains scientific relations with the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Institute of physics, SPC for materials science, Joint Institute of Informatics Problems, Institute of Applied Phys­ics), Research Institute of Fire Safety and Emergencies of the Republic of Belarus, with Moscow Institute of Electromechanics and Automatics (Russia), with the Northeastern Research Institute of Sensor Tech­nology (China).

Non-platform inertial navigation system (BINS-A) was developed in the laboratory, which allows to determine with high precision the coordinates of moving objects. It can operate both in inertial mode and in the mode with correction on satellite navigation systems.

Inertial navigation module was created intended for controlling a stabilizing platform when carrying out aerial photography.

Stand to control characteristics and parameters of ring lasers has been developed. The stand has a high degree of measurements automation.

The range of highly stable and compact power supplies for He-Ne lasers was developed.

Non-replaceable light sources based on LED emitters for tail lights of vehicles were developed by the specialists of the laboratory.

The laboratory owns modern equipment that enables the fulfillment of investigations in all the above-listed research areas.
