Technology and materials for modified mining tools manufacturing

Application: manufacturing of cutting tool inserts and rock cutting tools from composite material based on high-speed steel.

Advantages: powder reinforcement of tool steel to a depth of tens or hundreds of millimeters in less than a millisecond; low cost, significant reduction in energy consumption by eliminating the conventional sintering operation; increased durability and environmental friendliness of the material compared to car­bide alloys.

Key features: technology allows to obtain details of different geometrical shapes with length up to 100 mm and transverse dimensions up to 50 mm; possibility of incorporating technology into standard processes.
