Solid-state eye-safe microchip laser with diode pumping

Application: generation of nanosecond laser pulses at a wavelength of 1522 nm.

Advantages: high efficiency of the laser due to usage of diode pumping, low cost and small size of the device.

Key features: microlaser generates a pulse with duration of 5 ns at a wavelength of 1522 nm with a frequency of 60 kHz on the new active medium. Laser pulse energy is 5.3 μJ.
