Apparatus for minimally invasive closing of defects in the heart

Application: device for performing minimally invasive closure of heart defects (occluder) is designed for percutaneous transcatheter closure of septal defects of the human heart.

Advantages: occluder has a high resistance to deformation and fracture; occluder does not prevent normal operation of the heart valve; minimally invasive surgery (it does not require opening the chest, stopping the heart and connect the heart-lung machine).

Key features: nickel-titanium alloy does not cause an allergic reaction and the chemical in contact with human tissues; occluder creates a mechanical barrier at the atrial septal defect; wicker structure and polymer filling provides the passage of blood through an obstacle defect and subsequent complete clo­sure of the defect by coating the device's own tissue.
