1-52 02 01 "Technology and Equipment of Jewelry Production"
Graduates of this speciality are trained to work for enterprises producing jewelry, departments ensuring development of technologies, equipment, tools and automation mediums for producing articles made of precious and nonferrous metals and alloys.
Training encompasses all the aspects of producing a piece of jewelry, starting from drawings to the actual production of an item of metal or other material. Graduates get fundamental knowledge of technology and equipment of precision and decorative material processing, including precious metals and gems. Much attention is paid to CAD for articles and workpieces. Teaming up with artists, specialists in decorative material processing understand their intentions and know how implement a beautiful design.
Graduates can work as design and process engineers and designers for exterior design departments, toolrooms at instrument-making enterprises, jewelry repair shops, art funds of Artists’ Union, as well as services responsible for keeping record of precious metals and gems and storing them.
