Within the Interstate Program to constitute and maintain uniform education environment among CIS member states, an agreement on cooperation in educational and scientific activities was signed in 2010 between the Institute and the Interdisciplinary Institute of Advanced Training of Personnel in New Directions of Development of Engineering and Technology of Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU) along with active support from Rossotrudnichestvo and the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation. In compliance with the agreement, in 2011, teaching materials of the advanced training program of “Information systems and technologies” for the Institute trainees and staff were approved.
A distant form of training was provided by the Department of New Materials and Technologies and was further followed by opening the Institute-based “remote access point” to the educational resources of Bauman Moscow State Technical University on 29 March, 2012.
In November 2012, three staff members of the Institute were provided training in BMSTU on the program of "Information Protection in Information Systems".
In February 2013, a unique training course was arranged by the Institute for specialists of Pavlodar state University (Kazakhstan) on the topic of “Energy Efficiency and Ways to Reduce Heat and Electricity Losses.”
In December 2013, the Institute provided a training course for two groups of Russian specialists: on the subjects of “Fundamentals of Energy Management and Energy Efficiency of a High-tech Enterprise” - for representatives of BMSTU, and “Modern Information Technologies for Designing Electronic Equipment” - for those from Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n. a. R. A. Alekseev.
In 2014, the cooperation with BMSTU and NNSTU furthered within the Presidential Program of Training Engineering Personnel of the Russian Federation for 2012-2014 approved by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation on 7 May, 2012, No. 594. The Institute provided internship for four groups of experts from leading Russian enterprises.
BMSTU was represented by specialists from the following Russian enterprises: Federal State Unitary Enterprise (FSUE) “State Space Scientific and Production Center n. a. M. V. Khrunichev” and FSUE “Scientific and Production Center of Automation and Instrument Engineering n. a. Academician N. A. Pilyugin.” They did a course on “Innovative Development of Engineering and Technology in Aerospace Sector”. During the traineeship Russian specialists visited leading enterprises and scientific centers of Belarus: Minsk Thermal Power Plant-3, OJSC “Integral”, State Production Association “Powder Metallurgy”, State Scientific Institution (SSI) “A. V. Luikov Heat And Mass Transfer Institute”, where they got acquainted with the production technology and scientific achievements.
Representatives of the following Russian enterprises were sent from NNSTU to undergo traineeship: Branch №1 of JSC “Almaz – Antey” Air and Space Defence Corporation” - on the topic of “Equipment and Technologies of Welding”; JSC “Nizhny Novgorod Maschinery Plant” - on the topic of “Neuclear Steam Generating Facilities.” Russian trainees studied production technology of such leading enterprises of our country as JSC “Science Production Association “Centre”, LLC “Ruhservosotor”, and JSC “BelAZ” – the management company of “BelAZ-Holding.” They also visited scientific centers of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the following educational establishments: SSI “Physics and Technology Institute,” SSI “The Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research - SOSNY,” Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, International Innovative Environmental Park "VOLMA," etc.
In 2015, the international cooperation with Russian universities continued within a target program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia “Further Training Opportunities for Engineering and Technical Staff for 2015-2016.” Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) sent Russian specialists from PJSC “Corporation “Irkut” and JSC “Technology” n. a. A. G. Romashin” to do training on “Modern and Advance Technologies of Production of Structure Elements and Articles from Polymeric Composite Materials.” The program implied visiting the following scientific centers and educational institutions: SSI “Powder Metallurgy Institute”, SSI “Physics and Technology Institute of NAS of Belarus”, SSI “V. A Belyi Metal-Polymer Research Institute”, Belarusian State Technological University, and SSI “Institute of Chemistry of New Materials of NAS of Belarus.”
In 2016, two groups of Russian specialists from MAI were trained on “Modern and Advance Technologies of Production of Structure Elements and Articles from Polymeric Composite Materials” and “New Metallic Materials. Advanced Technologies of Production and Processing.”
Among the participants of the traineeship, there were representatives of the Kazan Aviation Plant - a branch of JSC Tupolev (Kazan), JSC “Scientific-Production Centre for Gas-Turbine Technologies “Salut” (Moscow), JSC Kazan Helicopter Plant (Kazan), SPE Technology (Obninsk), Ltd Modern Automation - Department of Aircraft and Helicopter Engineering of East Siberia State University of Technologies and Management (Ulan-Ude).
In 2017, specialists of Egyptian Nuclear Radiological Regulatory Authority did a training course on the program of “Preparation of Samples for Alpha Spectrometry.”
Being developed in cooperation with practitioners from “Belgidrosila,” the training course of “Practical Hydraulics” has been in constant demand with not only employees of Belarusian enterprises, but also specialists from near and far abroad. In 2017, together with Belarusian trainees, the course was also done by the citizens of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Denmark.
