About Project

Aim of the Project: promoting modernization of master’s training in higher education institutions in Russia and Belarus; enhancing the integration of higher education institutions in the European Higher Education Area

Objectives of the Project:

  • To develop a modern master's program in Applied Computing for Engineering and Science, which will respect the principles of the Bologna process, and to implement it at 3 Belarusian and 2 Russian universities;
  • To develop and update courses and training materials for the master's program;
  • To improve teachers’ qualifications and skills;
  • To introduce modern teaching methods in the developed study courses;
  • To introduce modern technical infrastructure;
  • To disseminate the know-how and developed materials to other universities.

 

Basic directions of the new master’s program:

  • Scientific calculations;
  • Numerical analysis and optimization;
  • Mathematical modeling;
  • Statistical modeling;
  • Statistical calculations.

Project implementation focuses on:

  • Study and analysis of the labor market need for future professionals;
  • Defining the objectives of training and the set of academic competencies for the new master’s program;
  • Development of the curriculum matrix, as well the structure and contents of its modules;
  • Preparation and accreditation of the master’s program curricula in the field of applied computing in Russian and Belarusian partner universities
  • Development of joint programs and double diplomas on the common modular structure;
  • Training for the employees of Belarusian and Russian universities at European partner universities;
  • Issuing and disseminating information and advertising materials;
  • Dissemination of the know-how and developed materials at other Belarusian and Russian universities
