Peru's Presidential Election

On April 10, 2016 Peru's presidential election was held at the Honorary Consulate of Peru in Belarus. Edgard Berrocal Felipa Edwin, specialist of the BNTU Coordinative International Student Center, Member of the IGAHEI Council, was elected as chairman of the Election Commission.

Peru's Presidential Election

Peruvians living in the Republic of Belarus came to the Consulate to cast their vote for the next president. Among them were also the graduates of the Belarusian higher educational institutions.

The final protocol with voting results was signed by the members of the Election Commission.

According to the election results, the leading candidates for Peru presidency are:

  • Keiko Fujimori – 39.66 %; 
  • Pedro Pablo Kuczynski – 21.09 %.

A second-round runoff vote for the president of Peru scheduled for June 5, 2016.
