Nuclear Technologies and Nuclear Power Plants Safety: Lectures by Rosatom Academy at BNTU

We would like to inform you about the lectures to be delivered by the specialists of Rosatom Academy on the basis of Power Engineering Faculty.


The lectures will be held on November 9, 2016 (Wednesday), and the following topics will be discussed: 

1. "Water-Cooled Power Reactor: Evolution, Safety, Referentiality. Safety of Modern Russian Nuclear Power Plants"

Lecturer – Alexander Nakhabov, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Power Engineering at Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering - (branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI), PhD in Engineering.

2. "Non-power Engineering Use of Nuclear Technologies and Its Advantages"

Leacturer – Olga Momot, Associate Professor of Ecology Department at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, PhD in Ecology. 

Time and location: BNTU Building 2 (building of the Power Engineering Faculty), room 315; from 11.40 till 13.15

Listeners: senior students of the following BNTU specialities:

  • "Steam-Turbine Installations of Nuclear Power Plants";
  • "Thermal Power Plants";
  • "Automation and Management of Heat and Power Processes"

Students of nuclear power-related specialities of BSU are also invited.
