Nauryz Meiramy Festival 2016

On March 17-31, 2016 Nauryz Meiramy Festival dedicated to the first day of spring by oriental calendar was organized by the Coordinative International Student Center and the Department of Philosophical Teachings.

The Festival program has been intense:

  • On March 17, 2016 the International Scientific Conference "Eurasian Space of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan: Culture, Philosophy, Economy" (in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Belarus, The National Library of Belarus, the Belarusian National Technical University) has taken place at the National Library of Belarus;
  • On March 17-28, 2016 the Photo Exhibition "Nauryz-Nowruz-Nouruz" was held on the 3rd floor of theBNTUMainBuilding;
  • On March 21, 2016 the round-table discussion "Proverbs and Sayings as the Genre of oral Folk Art" has taken place at the BNTU Abay Center for Kazakh Language, History, and Culture;
  • On March 24, 2016 the interactive round-table discussion "Prospects and Creative Potential of Students and Student Youth Organizations of theBelarusianNationalTechnicalUniversityand the L.N.GumilyovEurasianNationalUniversity(Belarus-Kazakhstan)" has taken place at theBNTUAbayCenterfor Kazakh Language, History, and Culture;
  • On March 29, 2016 the workshop on Kazakh national cuisine "Nan" has been organized.

The Plenary Meeting with the participation of the representatives of the Embassy of theRepublicofKazakhstanin theRepublicofBelarus, the Embassy of theRussian Federationin theRepublicofBelarus, the Ministry of Education of theRepublicofBelarus, theL.N.GumilyovEurasianNationalUniversityhas taken place at the National Library of Belarus. Murat T. Laumulin, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Belarus, has given a welcome speech to the Conference participants.

The opening speech was given by: Vladimir L. Shapurov, the Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus; Tatiana V. Psareva, the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus; Mahinrad Siamak, Vice-Chairman of the Council of the International Graduates’ Association of Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Belarus; Roman S. Motulsky, the Director of the National Library of Belarus; Alexander G. Bakhanovich, Vice-Rector for Academic, Educational and Ideological Activity, and Youth Policy; Alena G. Nemceva, Graduate Student of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Assoc. Prof. Gennady M. Brovka, Dean of the BNTU Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarization, has moderated the Plenary Meeting.

The meeting of Section 1 "Culture: History, Semiotics, Ethnography, Ethnology" has taken place at theBNTUAbayCenterfor Kazakh Language, History, and Culture. The teaching staff, postgraduate students, students from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia have delivered their presentations. The postgraduate students from Kazakhstan have given the BNTU Abay Center a memorable gift - Kazakh national clothes "chapan" (gown) and "kalpak" (cap). They have congratulated the BNTU staff, postgraduate students and students on the spring holiday Nauryz. Section 2 "Eurasian Philosophical Traditions: Comparative Analysis, Search for Common Ground" and Section 3 "Eurasian Economic Space in the System of International Division of Labor" have comprised several interesting reports. The Conference participants have had a wonderful opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding. They have demonstrated a vivid interest towards traditions and cultures of different countries.

Along with the International Scientific Conference, the Photo Exhibition "Nauryz-Nowruz-Nouruz" dedicated to the holiday Nauryz has been held on the 3rd floor of the BNTU Main Building.

The key idea of the plenary reports consists in acknowledging the strong friendship between the member states of the Eurasian Space, which exists within the framework of understanding of the national philosophy of the union states’ integrity, and intensifying cooperation between higher educational institutions of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Space.

International Scientific Conference in Minsk has already become a meaningful tradition providing a wonderful opportunity to discuss a number of important issues concerning the development of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The papers presented to the Conference are then published in the respective collection.
