BNTU hosts the Delegation of Tabbin Institute for Metallurgical Studies

On April 4-11, 2016 the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) has welcomed the Delegation of Tabbin Institute for Metallurgical Studies (TIMS) within the framework of cooperation agreement between the two Universities and the cooperation agreement between the International Graduates' Association of Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Belarus and Egyptian Association of Graduates' from Russia and other CIS countries.

The Delegation has comprised Tarek Mahmoud Abdelhamid Sami, Rector of Tabbin Institute for Metallurgical Studies, and Fathy Osman Toughan, General Secretary of Egyptian Association of Graduates from Russia and other CIS countries, Professor of Tabbin Institute for Metallurgical Studies, Head of Department.

The purpose of the visit has consisted in establishing fruitful international cooperation between the Universities.

Within the framework of the visit to the Republic of Belarus, the Delegates have visited the International Exhibition of the foundry and metallurgical technologies LITMETEXPO – 2016 and participated in the round-table discussion organized by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus. The guests have participated in the meetings with Vladimir V. Koltovich, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir E. Ulahovich, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aliaksandr R. Tsyhanau, Vice-Rector for Academic Activity, International Cooperation, and Additional Adult Education. The Delegates have conducted negotiations with the BNTU Administration represented by Yuri G. Aliakseev, General Director – Vice-Rector for Production Activity of "Polytechnic", and Aliaksandr S. Kalinichenko, Deputy Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Activity.

Successful negotiations on cooperation have been conducted with Aliaksandr R. Tsyhanau, Igor A. Satikov, Director of the BNTU International Institute for Distance Education, and Vladimir L. Solomakho, Director of the BNTU Republican Institute for Innovative Technologies. The Delegates have productively discussed the development of international cooperation between the Universities in preparation for the 2nd Education Forum of Foreign Alumni of the CIS countries (Soviet) Higher Educational Institutions "Traditions + Innovations is the Guarantee of Modern Higher Education Success".

On April 11, 2016 the Delegates have also attended the meeting with the BNTU Administration. The Belarusian party has been represented by A.S. Kalinichenko, Igor A. Ivanov, Dean of Mechanical and Technological Faculty, and Alla D. Maevskaya, Head of the Coordinative International Student Center. As a result of this meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding between the BNTU and TIMS has been signed. The Memorandum provides for the establishment of Belarusian-Egyptian Center for Staff Training. The Center will offer technical training, consultations, and technology transfer for the needs of Egyptian industry.
