BNTU Hosting 5th Forum of the Union State Engineering and Technological Universities

 

These autumn days, the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) is hosting the 5th Forum of the Union State Engineering and Technological Universities. The Event kicked off on October 24, 2016 at new premises of the BNTU S&T Park "Polytechnik", the most advanced BNTU facility.

The 5th Forum is organized by:

  • Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU);
  • Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus;
  • National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" (MPEI);
  • Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

This year’s Forum has considerably broadened its geographical dimensions. The Event has united representatives of about 10 Belarusian universities, 30 Russian universities, and the higher education institutions from China, Spain, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Poland, and the Ukraine. Considering a vast array of opportunities and invaluable experience the Forum provides, such an intense interest is but natural.

The Forum Plenary Meeting took place on October 25, 2016. This paramount event gathered a number of prominent personalities representing various fields:

  • Boris M. Khroustalev, Academician of the NAS of Belarus, BNTU Rector;
  • Aleksei A. Kubrin, Vice Secretary of the Union State;
  • Mikhail A. Zhuravkov, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus;
  • Alexander G. Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology;
  • Pyotr A. Vityaz, Academician of the NAS of Belarus, Chief of Staff of the NAS;
  • Sergei A. Tsyruk, Co-Organizer of the Forum;
  • Alesya S. Vinnik, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican youth Union (BRSM);
  • Honored guests representing research organizations and industrial enterprises.

The 5th Forum aims at establishing an interuniversity platform for developing basic directions of Belarus-Russia integrative cooperation for supporting talented youth in the field of Education, Science, and innovative activities.

First of all, the Forum intends to give talented youth more opportunities to prove themselves at innovative platforms, and connect with renowned experts, gifted students from other universities, prospective investors.

The program of the Forum provides for a number of events discussing project management, business infrastructure, business and information technologies, and rules for setting up an engineering and production business.

Business Battle, where the participants compete for the first prize presenting their projects, will make the Forum's key event. Business Battle Jury comprises successful innovators and potential investors from Belarus and Russia.
