The Abay Center for Kazakh Language, History and Culture is focused on the development of mutual understanding and friendship between Belarusian and Kazakhstan students; raising awareness about Kazakh culture, traditions and recreation; boosting the young people’s skills and promoting their initiatives to participate in international activities; raising prestige of the Belarusian National Technical University  as the leading higher engineering and technical education institution in the Republic of Belarus, the basic organization of higher technical education of the CIS countries; developing partnership with foreign education, scientific and cultural institutions; deepening students’ knowledge about Kazakh achievements in culture, science, economy and education.

All the events are arranged in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Belarus, the Center "Belarus" of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana, the Republic of Kazakhstan).



The Center has been established at the BNTU according to the point 3 of the Protocol Order of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, ratified on May 23-25, 2011.


Annual events:

  • Nauryz Meiramy Festival, which is dedicated to the first day of spring by oriental calendar;
  • Kazakhstan Independence Day;
  • Astana City Day;
  • Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
